Hi, My name is Biff Jones. Welcome to my first attempt at a web page. Thats me in my pride and joy, 'Ole Gray' a '61 AH Sprite MK II. I also have a '59 Bugeye Sprite, 'Kermit', which is my fun car. 'Ole Gray' is my show car which has won 35 trophies at shows in the last 6+ years.

'Ole Gray' As I said above, this is my show car.  Believe it or not other than an exterior respray, this car is original. It has now 1740 original miles.  It had 1712 miles on her when I acquired her.   It had sat covered with tarps in a heated workshop in Deleware from 1962 til 1997.  Other than flush all systems, respray of the exterior, and a good cleaning no 'restoration' was done (or required).   The interior is all original, including the rubber floor matting.  It has it's original hood, tonneau, sidecurtains, wide whitewall Dunlop Goldseal tires, and owners manual.  This past fall I entered her in the Concors at Encounter '99 and she scored 933 points (silver) not bad for a 38 year old original car that had no special preparation other than a good washing and cleaning.

'Kermit' Kermit is my 1959 Bugeye Sprite that I use as my 'daily' driver car.  Since I could not bring myself to drive 'Ole Gray' anymore than what was required for showing, I acquired 'Kermit' to have a car that I could drive.  It is basicly stock, i.e., 948cc, smoothcase, etc.  While she is in good shape I do plan to have her repainted and restore the interior.   I am currently installing a roll bar and have recolored the existing seats, dash, and doorpockets.  And as a stop gap I will also have the top and tonneau covers repaired and recolored.  I have also added a custom glove/speaker center counsel under the dash on the transmission hump.  The glove box is only large enough for the registration papers and a few other small items because of also housing dual speakers for the radio (also added).  I have also acquired a 1275cc engine which I plan to install in the future along with a 5 speed conversion tranny.
